I went out a bought a cute little mobile for Rowan and just about everytime I turn it on for him he's more interested in the little cars on the blanket grandma made for him.  Funny boy... I can think of a few he takes after.

Paul's American Thanksgiving Inspired Birthday Dinner...

Everywhere I turned this week people were eating these awesome thanksgiving dinners and I got a bad hankering for turkey dinner....

So I made one for Paul for his 29th birthday.

Jesse's birthday is on the 25th (same as pinner btw) so we usually celebrate together over the years.

Julieann and I went upstairs to change the babies into their jammies...turned around and they were wearing the same ones!! so out came the cameras...

Pumpkin cookies in the flashest..

No seriously you don't even have to measure anything.

1 box of yellow cake mix
1 can of pumpkin
bunch of toffee bits (or chocolate chips, or mini rollos or something...)

On to parchment paper.
In the oven 400 F for 15 minutes & BAM you got two dozen cookies to eat! oh no!

A note:  I left my cookies in for more like 20 minutes because they were a little "doughy" for my taste..

I'm calling these Pumpkin Cakesters..because that is exactly what they are.  ENJOY!

Ideas

Since I am the world's worse photographer I had this idea of posting more in videos.  Then this "BLOG" would be more of a "VLOG" (video blog.. for the grandmas and grandpas :)... we will see.. might be worth  a try.  I need to capture and record this little boy of mine somehow!  What do you think dear three or so readers of mine??

Secondly I keep thinking that I should post more about food.... because I think recipes and food tips are totally worth sharing!  Also I think if I have to record what I am eating I will be forced to be more accountable for what I am putting in my mouth...which is never at bad thing at this point in my life.

Yesterday two wonderful things happened...

   1.  I learned how to make crepes! 

We had them for a midnight snack when Paul got home.  So yummy and surprisingly really easy.  I think the secret is in the non stick frying pan.

2.  .... and then baby Rowan slept through the night!

He fell asleep at his usual time around eleven and was back up at twelve for a "top up" and then slept right through to seven!  

......The bad news is I didn't take a picture of either of them to prove they actually happened.... but they did.

I picked up a couple meters of the green stripped material from Ikea yesterday possibly for the curtains.

Baby Trend Car seat and Snap and Go Stroller!
I am so completely happy with my new little car seat and stroller!  It's nice and light, super easy to use + cute!  A perfect fit for me and babe.

Newly Painted Nursery!
Baby has a beautifully painted nursery ALL thanks to Grandma Laraine!
After massive amounts of obsessing and over-thinking I finally decided on Ben Moore's Thunder gray for the whole room and I love it.  It really is my ideal gray....

Last night we had supper at mom and dads and brought the crib home.
We got in at about 10:00....the boys got right to work putting it together!

Crib picks..

This was my first pick.  Now having second thoughts.. maybe a bit too modern looking. Also total cost with shipping etc would be about $ 500 bucks.

$299 from costco! I like the 2 drawers on the bottom, cute little feature....

Baby Trend Snap and Go for $99 bucks.  Seems like a great little stroller for running errands.  Love the giant basket! A nice lady today at Babies R Us told me to watch for sales because she bought hers for half price!
